Position Summary:
The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The individual will oversee and perform a range of administrative functions for several programs which are part of the Early Childhood Home and Family Services Division at the CDD. This position will primarily provide support to the Nurse Family Partnership ! program and other similar home visiting programs in the divisi! on including a newly funded NFP satellite office in Hobbs, NM and Parents as Teachers (PAT) community office in the South Valley. The Administrative Assistant 3 will coordinate community advisory meetings, arrange travel, and interface with community or state agencies. The person will provide web-based database management, data collection, and assist with preparing reports to the funding agency. The individual will track expenses and help reconcile multiple program budgets working closely with the accounting staff, manager, and division administrator. The person will oversee purchasing and payment processes, utilizing Banner, LoboMart and a Pcard. Other duties will include development of documents using MS Word, Excel, and databases in Access. Individual will develop and maintain a filing system for both program files and client records. Strong interpersonal skills are a must to develop and maintain relationships with diverse constituents and customers who are served by the! programs. Writing skills are necessary to create and/or edit correspondence and edit reports. The individual will eagerly provide computer troubleshooting help to users with basic issues. The individual will also take minutes at regular meetings. The selected candidate will be able to travel to provide assistance to the satellite office in Albuquerque and the satellite office in Hobbs. The position requires the following skills:

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with database management.

Intermediate knowledge/experience in MS Word, Excel and Access 2010.

Experience with financial tracking and reconciling.

Experience providing basic technology support to users.

Experience interfacing with community organizations.

Excellent writing skills as demonstrated through the application documents.
