Position Summary:
The Division of Neonatology within the Department of Pediatrics is looking for a manager for our team of 18 Neonatal Practice Specialists providing mid-level medical and patient care services to at-risk newborn infants and their families in a Level III NICU. This position will provide administrative management and oversight of direct patient care and act as liaison between the Neonatal Practice Service and other provider services.

In addition, this position will diagnosis and treat in collaboration with a team of neonatologists, fellows, and various department specialists, make independent and interdependent decisions in the assessment, diagnosis, manag! ement, and evaluation of the health care needs of the infant a! t risk. Performs clinically indicated and advanced inpatient management responsibilities with night call in the NICU as well as 24/7patient management coverage for the Newborn Transport Program via ground and fixed wing air ambulance. Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing or in Science with Physician Assistant Science emphasis; at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

State of New Mexico Licensed Registered Nurse; Current national certific! ation as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:
NRP Certification

Knowledge in/of:
Neonatal transport procedures, standards, facilities and equipment

Patient care requirements of at-risk newborns in a Level III NBICU

Experience in/with:
Teaching, leadership, research and management

Recruitment, hiring procedures, employee development and performance management

Administrative management functions to include budget management, statistics and reporting, billing and Medicaid tracking
