Part-Time Weekend Overnight Crisis Intervention Specialist (Not Remote)
The Intervention Specialist will implement policies, protocols, and services designed to assist individuals who are thinking of or planning to commit suicide, are impacted by someone with suicidal behavior, or who are experiencing crisis that without assistance, may turn into suicidal behavior. This position also provides support, information, and referral for non-crisis calls. Services are provided via phone calls or text messaging. As a member of the Careline team, you will interact with clients and staff in a manner that is respectful and empowering, exercise consistent and dependable attendance, and attend all mandatory staff meetings. At Careline, all staff present themselves in a professional demeanor and maintain confidentiality when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications include an Associate's degree in Human Services or a closely related field. Prior work or life experience may be used in lieu of the degree. We expect our candidates to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, group, and written communication skills, a commitment to the agency's mission and goals, the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles, and the ability to work independently and pass a background check. It is required that the candidate be proficient with computers and have the ability to do data entry.
Hours: Part Time (less than 31 hours per week)
Shifts Available:
Weekend Shifts Available: 11pm to 7am
Salary: Determined by experience and Non-Exempt
Location: Office Location is in Fairbanks, Alaska - (Not Remote)
