Provides general medical care, is responsible for the quality of medical care provided by the medical physician assistant and nursing staff at the clinic. Provides direction with development, revision or review of policies and procedures.. Graduation with a medical degree and completion of required residency in order to receive or review of policies and procedures. Evaluates patients and provides direct patient care. . Follows policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of care.Prescribes, administers and distributes medication in accordance with appropriate regulations.. Maintains Advances Life Support Certification an assures that the clinic has adequate equipment for the stabilization of medical emergencies prior to transferConsults with physicians as needed.. Keeps current with developments in the field through participation in seminars, workshops and publications.. Maintains physician certification.. Provides direction and supervision of the medical activities of the other clinic employees.. Supports the clinics Performance Improvement Program.. Interacts with the clinic manager to help maintain efficient clinic operation.. The physician will spend sufficient amounts of time in the clinic to evaluate the patient care being delivered.
