Position Summary:
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Program Specialist to work in a fast-paced professional office located in downtown Albuquerque with the program, "Envision New Mexico: The Initiative for Child Healthcare Quality." Envision New Mexico is a statewide provider training and community outreach collaborative that is expected to greatly improve health outcomes for children and adolescents across the state. The CHIPRA Quality Improvement Program Specialist will work directly with the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA) Program Manager to develop and implement quality improvement activities directly related to CHIPRA grant requirements. This position is! responsible for specific grant deliveries, in the area of qua! lity improvement (QI) activities to school-based health centers (SBHC) involved in the grant and supporting the development of a patient centered medical home (PCMH). To this end, our best applicant will: Provide and/or coordinate the provision of technical guidance, consultation, and related support to clientele within area of program focus; Review periodic patient medical record reviews and evaluate utilization and compliance with clinical guidelines Develop summary reports of quality improvement and service delivery data Coach SBHC teams to improve adoption of PCMH, youth engagement and clinical best practices Plan and coordinate site visits and special training events for participating SBHC teams and sponsor organizations and other initiatives designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the program. Serve as primary liaison relating to program activities; represents the University with respect to program activities on a local, regional, and/or nati! onal basis. Create, produce, and deliver a range of promotional, educational, and informational presentation, and/or resource materials related to program activities and initiatives. Oversee the collection and analysis of program activity data; develop, write, edit, and present comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports and evaluations. Analyze data from clinical quality improvement activities Research and recommend tools and processes for use by SBHC teams to achieve grant goals and objectives We are looking for someone who is a team player and has excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to establish priorities, work on several projects concurrently, and follow through. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of work experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.
