Post by Jobing - Unit Clerk/Monitor Techâ€" InPatient (Pool)) Location: Sandoval Regional Medical Center Job Code: 404 # of Openings: 2 Descr! iption Unit Clerk/Monitor Tech Operate electrocardiographic machine and patient monitoring equipment to record electromotive variations and impulses of the heart. Monitor designated patients throughout the institution and notifies appropriate personnel as required. Obtain test and patient information from patient requisition forms; submit test results to physician for interpretation. Receive event recorder transmissions and operate computer systems perform a variety of clerical duties in support of assigned area to include data entry, answer phones, enter orders, assist as needed, and maintain files and other related duties.
Observe patient to ensure their safety and wellâ€"being; report observations to Charge Nurse or appropriate designee assist with activities of daily living (ADL): meals, ambulation, hygiene, linen change and toileting as instructed. Provide basic patient care; take and record vital signs to include temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, heigh! t, blood pressure and intakeâ€"output measurements serve as a ! role model to promote the SRMC Values, a positive work environment and efficient, quality patient care. Report compliance or equipment issues to department director. Ensure adherence to Hospital’s and departmental policies and procedures.
Patient care assignments may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups Minimum Qualifications/Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Complete BAC course and examinationâ€" Completed with initial competencies kept on unit. Work Experience: CPR Certification or must obtain within 30 calendar days of date of position Preferred Qualifications/Requirements Work Experience: One (1) year medical terminology experience and/or health care related experience Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, word processing, managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology. Knowledge of spelling of words, rules of composition, ! and grammar Knowledge of computer and electronic equipment, including office applications Customer service skills Active listening skills Critical thinking skills Skill in monitoring/assessing performance of yourself and others Time management skills The ability to effectively communicate information and ideas to others The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules
