Lovelace Women's Hospital is New Mexico's first and only hospital dedicated to women's health and features a 53-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 24/7 emerg! ency department, 16 labor and delivery rooms, 41-bed Mother-Baby unit, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine program for high-risk pregnancies, and a Pediatric Observation Unit supervised 24/7 by pediatricians. Performs maintenance duties to include: mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning and restocking of patient and resident rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas and any other areas assigned.
Adheres to policies procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety.
Participates in training and assists evacuating patients and residents as required.
Reports the ge! neral requests for repairs to equipment, furniture, building a! nd fixtures.
Takes ownership of assignments; completes special assignments, projects, and other duties as required or assigned.
Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to â€Å"serviceâ€.
Adheres to policies procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
Ability to communicate effectively and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work independently or as an effective team member.
Experience
Minimum: Six (6) months of previous job-related experience.
