Primary Job Functions
To extend the services of the Pediatric Multispecialty Clinic by provid! ing assistance in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. Services include obtaining pertinent history, performing examinations and procedures, ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory tests and prescribing appropriate medications and treatment. PNP will provide outpatient specialty care and round/consult on inpatients. At times, will provide first assist services in the OR. Call is in rotation with the pediatric specialists.
Minimum Skills/Requirements
Master???s degree in nursing. New Mexico RN license required. Satisfy state requirements for certification as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner; Currently certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner by ANA or National Board of PNP. Federal and State DEA license to prescribe drugs. PALS certified Two to five years experience in pediatric in-patient care, urgent care or emergency care or equivalent.
