Evaluate patients, establish plan of care, and continuously reassesses treatment plans and goals. Direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance; facilitate learning of skills and functions necessary for adaptation and productivity. Observe and instruct patients in related functional skills.
Educate and instruct in home programming and preventive measures as appropriate to patient, family, and caregivers. Ensure adherence to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Serve as a role model to promote the SRMC Values, a positive work environment and efficient quality patient care. Patient care assignment may include pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMEN! TS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy L! ICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: CPR Certification or must obtain within 30 calendar days of date of position One of the following: Occupational Therapist New Mexico License with New Mexico Occupational Therapy Practice Board Temporary Occupational Therapist New Mexico License with New Mexico Occupational Therapy Practice Board; Obtain permanent License within three months of position PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Bilingual English/Spanish Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: * Clinical Skills * Bedside Manner * Infection Control * Physiological Knowledge * Medical Teamwork * Multitasking * Listening * Verbal Communication
