POSITION SUMMARY
The Pediatrician serves as a member of the TLC provider team providing primary health care services to newborns, children, and adolescent patients of the organization. The Pediatrician deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric diseases. Additionally, the Pediatrician provides consultation to other members of the health care delivery staff. Pediatricians shall be qualified to serve on the active Medical Staff of hospitals utilized by TLC to provide inpatient services, assume “on call†after hours duties and! supervise staff nurse practitioners and physician assistants ! as appropriate. The Pediatrician reports to the Department Head of Pediatrics.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
*Graduate of an accredited school of medicine with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
*Successful completion of an approved residency program
*Current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland with unrestricted prescription privileges and current Controlled Dangerous Substances and Drug Enforcement Agency Number
*Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
*No history of Medicare or Medicaid fraud
