We're seeking a Payroll Specialist to maintain and support our payroll operations by providing payroll information and managing requests. This is a remote role. This position pays up to $29 per hour depending on experience.

Your Responsibilities as a Payroll Specialist:

  • Review and validate weekly timesheets and verify source documents
  • Maintain payroll operations and processes by following policies and procedures, and reporting any necessary changes
  • Build and maintain employee confidence, and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Process payroll changes and assist with unemployment requests
  • Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive payroll records
  • Collaborate and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results on assigned associated tasks
  • Provide support to Payroll team members with the compilation of and maintenance of high-level standard payroll procedures
  • Utilize your knowledge of Payroll Compliance with Federal and State regulations & guidelines

What we're looking for:

  • GED or High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Must have 3 to 6 years of related corporate payroll experience
  • Experience performing time-sheet review/audit and payroll preparation and processing required
  • A dependable problem solver with a self-motivated work ethic, great organization and written/verbal communication skills, and a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision and/or Kronos Workforce Ready is highly desired and very helpful
