Position Summary The Department of Pediatrics invites applications for a tenure-track faculty at the assistant-associate professor level. Candidates should have a research focus in neurosciences, with primary interests that build upon our search parameters, which include investigations of the: 1) molecular, 2) cellular and/or 3) behavioral aspects of neurodevelopment or pediatric neuro-developmental disorders. Opportunities exist for collaborations with faculty in other clinical and basic science departments, especially the Departments of Neurosciences, Neurology, and Psychiatry. The individual's clinical responsibilities can be assigned to any appropriate division within the Department of Pediatrics. The position includes a competitive salary, research start-up funds, and research facilities, including newly renovated wet lab space. Additional opportunities exist to collaborate with the UNM Health Science Center's Clinical and Translational Science Center and its core facilities. The selected individual should have experience or interest in participating in graduate and medical school teaching programs.

Minimum Qualifications

MD or MD/PhD degree, or the equivalent Fellowship or postdoctoral experience Able to obtain state licensure(s) in the state of New Mexico

Preferred Qualifications Independent research program Strong potential for obtaining extramural funding, as evidenced by high quality publications
