Competency is evaluated based on the assessment of the nurse's ability to utilize the nursing process in the prevention of and intervention in life-threatening situations, while effectively ! interacting with patients, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.Education: Graduation from a school of nursing.Experience: 2 years ER nursing experience.Licensure & Certifications: Current RN license to practice professional Nursing in the State of New Mexico or acceptable compact state RN licensure.Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia if no previous experience of reading cardiac rhythms.
Must complete and maintain ACLS certification within three months of hire.Must complete and maintain PALS, ENPC, and TNCC within 6 months of hire.Current verification in Basic Life Support. (If BLS verification is not current upon hire must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.)Essential Job Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process by demonstrating appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's care, as evidenced by patient, staff and supervisor observation.Documen! ts patient care which reflects nursing intervention, patient response t! o care provided, and includes evidence of appropriate patient/significant other education, and the understanding of these instructions noted in the medical record.Implements and documents patient responses to treatments/medications as defined within the scope of the professional Registered Nurse through the New Mexico State Board of Nursing and policies of Rehoboth McKinley Christian Healthcare Services.Functions a part of an interdisciplinary team with positive interpersonal communication skills when communicating with patients, families, visitors, physicians and staff in other departments of the organization.Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Servi
