Under the supervision of ! a physician, is responsible for obtaining an accurate medical history, performing appropriate examinations, ordering laboratory tests, includes prescribing medication. All duties are performed under the supervisor of the Physician at a large outpatient pediatric practice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduation from a program for physician assistants approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) of the American Medical Association
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: New Mexico license as a Physician Assistant. BLS Certification required; ACLS Certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience post-graduation in a family practice out-patient setting preferred.
