Post by Jobing - RNâ€"ICU (Part Time) Location: Sandoval Regional Medical Center Job Code: 374 # of Openings: 1 Description Intensive Care Nurse Promote and restore patients' hea! lth through direct nursing care to assigned patients within the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervise assigned team members. Provide clinical leadership for other staff and assume relief charge duties when designated. Serve as a role model to promote the SRMC Values, a positive work environment and efficient, quality patient care. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.
Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Graduate from a n ursing program (nationally accredited) PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing, or enrolls in program by 2015. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: * RN MATRIX â€" Complete and maintain unit/clinic based required certifications and competencies as listed in the department e! xpectations/and or the unit/clinic education matrix * Licensed! Registered Nurse (RN) in State of New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by State of New Mexico * IV Certification within 6 months of date of position * CPR Certification or must obtain within 30 calendar days of date of position * ACLS Certification or must obtain within 6 months of date of position * TNCC Certification or must obtain within 12 months of date of position PREFERRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: N ationally certified in area of specialty, within two years of date of hire EXPERIENCE: One ( 1) year of nursing experience or completion of intern/extern program, or successful completion of unit orientation KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Clinical Skills, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, Physiological Knowledge, Administering Medication, Medical Teamwork, Multitasking, Listening, Verbal Communication, Health Promotion and Maintenance
