High school plus trade or vocational school in licensed practica! l nursing. Current New Mexico LPN license and current CPR certification required. Less than one year experience in ambulatory setting. Requires knowledge of patient care in terms of what is to be done and an understanding of how it is to be done. This staff member must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served.
Primary Job Functions
Summary of major job functions Provides patient care in the ambulatory care setting according to established standards of care, in collaboration with Care Managers and Medical Providers as members of the primary care team.
Key job accountability # 1 Administer prescribed medications and treatments, as ordered by Medical Provider/Standard of Care Protocol.
Key job accountability # 2 Assists Medical Providers with procedures.
Key job accountability # 3 Assists with patient education, within scope of practice by Standard of Care-Education Prot! ocol.
Key job accountability # 4 Assists with visit p! lanning, within Health Maintenance Guidelines.
Key job accountability # 5 Assist with management, in collaboration with Clinical Manager.
Key job accountability # 6 Documents on medical record within scope of practice.
