Post by Jobing - RNâ€"ICU (Pool) Location: Sandoval Regional Medical Center Job Code: 394 # of Openings: 1 Description RNâ€" ICU Promote and restore patients' health through ! direct nursing care to assigned patients and the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members. Provide clinical leadership for other staff and assume relief charge duties when designated. Serve as a role model to promote the SRMC Values, a positive work environment and efficient, quality patient care. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.
Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements Education: Nursing program (nationally accredited) graduate Licenses/Certifications: RN MATRIX â€" Complete and maintain unit/clinic based required certifications and competencies as listed in the department expectations/and or the unit/clinic education matrix Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in State of New Mexico ! or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by State of New Mexico I! V Certification CPR Certification or must obtain within 30 calendar days of date of position ACLS Certification or must obtain within 6 months of date of position Preferred Qualifications/Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing or enrolled by January 2015 Licenses/Certifications: TNCC Certification Work Experience: Nationally certified in area of specialty, within two (2) years of date of hire; Bilingual English/Spanish; Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and , diseases Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions Knowle! dge of Bedside Manner and Infection Control Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects Physiological Knowledge Knowledge in administering medication Effective clinical and nursing skills Medical teamwork skills Multiâ€"tasking skills Effective communication skills Health promotion and maintenance abilities Problem sensitivity abilities Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense• Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions
