Job Description
This full-time Medical Assistant will support out busy Internal Medicine office in Hudson MA. The position requires the ability to function indenpendently in both a medical assistant capactiy including phlebotomy while also providing exceptional customer service and efficient front desk functions as needed. An experienced medical assistant is required in thi! s role.
Responsibilities
Medical Assistant duties include:
*
Takes patient history and conducts vital sign checks.
*
Prepares and maintains treatment rooms.
*
Assists physicians and nurses with minor diagnostic procedures.
*
Ensures that lab reports, x-rays and other information are in patient records. Performs routine tests such as phlebotomy, urine collection.
*
Keys data into the computer to maintain office and patient records.
*
Demonstrates courteous professional and cooperative behavior toward patients, visitors, coworkers and physicians in person and on the phone.
*
Manages physician schedule. Supports and assists all physicians and clinical staff with patient flow.
*
Verifies patient information.
*
Maintains and orders office supplies.
*
Assists with typing of reports, correspondence and dictation as requested by physicians! .
Qualifications
*
2 years of Medical Assistant e! xperience with direct work performing phlebotomy required.
*
Professional demeanor with customer-service orientation, care and compassion.
*
Strong computer and typing skills.
