Pediatrician - Cardiologist - Physician - (Cardio - Pe! ds - Pedi) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 05/20/2013Available Shifts: 24 Hour On-Call
Looking for a Pediatric Cardiologist to cover one week per month, ongoing while we permanently recruit. This is for a Level 2 Trauma center in New Mexico. This is 24 hour out-of-house call, with about 8 hours of rounding and then night time call. Must be able to provide follow up care to surgery, NICU, PICU, and some adults. Average daily census is 6-8.
A pediatric cardiologist (locum tenens) specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases and irregularities in children under the age of 18, including newborns. These physicians treat cardiovascular problems both acquired and congenital, utilizing sophisticated medical technology such as ultrasound and echocardiology tests. Pediatric cardiologists also perform invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization.
