Further informations about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. A hospital in a rural setting of New Mexico is offering a 13 week assignment in the Operating Room. (Outside of Albuquerque)
Unit description:
25 bed facility with 2 surgical suites and 1 endoscopy/minor procedure room. OR staff covers: Pre-op & patient admitting, OR circulating for procedures, PACU and post-surgical care. Department has 6 stretchers for pre-op/post-op care. Duties are rotated with other OR staff. Department with 4 RNs and 3 ORT. CRNA provides anesthesia. Surgeries are usually general surgery cases, endoscopies and dental rehab for pediatric patients. No major orthopedics. Staff must have ACLS as they care for patients in PACU and administer moderate conscious sedation for the endoscopy procedures. Department is staffed from 6am-3pm, Mon-Fri and remaining hours are covered by on-call staff and rotated with other RNs.
