Position Summary:
The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

This position will be providing a wide range of psychosocial evaluation/assessment, diagnostic, crisis intervention, and/or case management services in a high-intensity multidisciplinary developmental clinic setting in our Autism and other Developmental Disabilities Programs. This position requires a high degree of independent decision-making. Leads and trains lower level counselor/social workers, students, and/or interns engaged in related therapeutic/patient care activities, as appropriate to the individual person.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or an equivalent field; at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Licensed Prof Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or equivalent OR Licensed Indep Social Wkr (LISW) or equivalent OR licensure pending, as documented by temporary license.

Experience:
collecting data through interviews and evaluating data working with families of people with ASD/Developmental Disabilities with clinical supervision of lower level therapists and social work students providing teaching, consultation, and in-service training to professionals in crisis management working as a member in a team environment
