Global Health Care Group is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Northern Navajo Medical Center located in Shiprock, New Mexico on an as needed basis.
Available Position: Registered Nurse for the ICU department.
Place of Performance: Northern Navajo Medical Center located in Shiprock, New Mexico.
Work Schedule: The shifts are 12 hours rotational shifts, including weekends and Government Holidays.
Description of Services (includes but it is not limited to):
Ability to develop patient care plans. Ability to provide guidance and leadership to other nursing personnel. Ability to learn the different type of equipments needed for patient care. Knowledge of medications and adverse reactions. Ability to start an IV. Ability to triage. Ability to give children immunization
Equipment: Must be familiar with 12 lead EKG, defibrillators, non invasive blood pressure, thermometers, oxygen canisters, and fetal heart monitors.
Period of Performance: The assignment is 13 weeks and may be extended, upon acceptable performance and all necessary state reviews and approvals.
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
License: Shall have and maintain an active, valid, unrestricted RN license (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions ) to practice in the in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
Certifications (MANDATORY):
a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification a current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Optional and favorable certifications:
Pediatric Advance Lift Support (PALS) Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
Education: Shall have a Registered Nurse Diploma/Degree certificate from an accredited national, state or military trained equivalent school.
Required Experience: The RN needs to have at least 5 years of clinical experience in a critical care adult medical-surgical ICU. Needs to have a strong knowledge of critical care nursing and able to function independently in caring for intubated, hemodynamically unstable patients who may require titration of vasopressor, sedative, and paralytic agents.
