Post by Jobing - CT Technologist Location: Sandoval Regional Medical Center Job Code: 413 # of Openings: 1 Description CT Technologist Provide patient services in a hospital setting by ! performing CT and Radiological procedures and ensure safety to patients, family members, staff and self in pursuant with ALARA. Assist in other areas of department as needed, provide quality control, serve as clinical liaison for inpatients, explaining processes and educating families. Perform equipment operation, troubleshooting and appropriate care. Evaluate and assist in safety training for hospital staff and apply principles of radiation protection.
Serve as a role model to promote the SRMC Values, a positive work environment and efficient, quality patient care. Ensure adherence to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Graduate from an accredited radiology program.
Two (2) years of directly related work experience. Preferred Requirement: Bilingual in English and Spanish Licenses/Certifications: * Radiologic Technologist Cert! ification (RTC) in State of New Mexico * American Registry of ! Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certificate * CPRâ€"BLS (Healthcare Provider) Certification must be obtained within 30 calendar days of employment * Obtain CT (ARRT) Certification within one (1) year of employment KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: * Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. * Knowledge of mathematics * Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology * Good written and verbal communication skills * Good organizational skills * Ability to interpret and assess data effectively * Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions and irregular hours * Ability to multiâ€"task and complete assignments * Ability to respond to patient needs by interpreting facial or verbal expressions * Ability to be aware of and sensitive to cultural and! bilingual issues * Ability to apply independent judgment * Ability to communicate and interact with patients, families, physicians and staff
