Post by Jobing - Position SummaryThe Department of Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist at the Assistant Professor Level. The Pediatric Hospitalist Group provides the most advanced pediatric medical care available in New Mexico. Our state of the art Children's Hospital opened in 2007. The Pediatric Hospitalist Group staffs the General Pediatric Unit with 34 beds, Pediatric Subspecialty Care Unit with 20 beds, and Carrie Tingley Rehabilitation Unit with 15 beds.

The care includes general pediatric inpatient care, consultation to subspecialty providers, sedation services, and PICC line placement. A multidisciplinary team and numerous subspecialty providers support the Pediatric Hospitalist physicians. Resident physicians and medical students work with the Pediatric Hospitalists on the majority of our medical teams. We serve a diverse population in metropolitan and rural communities of New Mexico as well as neighboring states.

This is an excellent career opportunity in the areas of inpatient care and medical education including resident and medical student teaching. Salary and rank will be commensurate with training and experience.
